With all this talk bouncing around about the new 11g release of Oracle’s BI suite, very little has said about whether any of this new functionality is to be integrated into an instance of BI Publisher that’s shipped with e-Business Suite. The likelihood is that we’ll have to wait until Fusion before you EBS users can take advantage of some of the rather functionally rich and end user orientated elements of 11g.
So, the upshot is that we are stuck, at least for the time being with the current RTF template development for EBS based BI Publisher reports, which for some may not be such a bad thing!
