BIPE Presentation given at 2009 UKOUG Financials SIG (Temporarily NO password required)
“To infinity (XMLP) and beyond (BI Publisher Enterprise)” Oracle Business Intelligence Publisher Enterprise (OBIPE) provides a standalone, easy to use platform on which to develop, analyse and manage reports with no limitations on Oracle’s standard reports. It facilitates the combining of multiple data sources and platforms, providing the single end user interface to a suite of high spec reports.In this presentation I will discuss the step taken to:
1. Build an Oracle Standard report in BIPE (using your existing XMLP template)
2. Add additional fields returned by the report that didn’t exist in EBS
3. Add additional input parameters to the report
4. Schedule the “Bursting” of the report, sent to a defined distribution list
5. Build a report and embed into MS Excel where it can be refreshed - Analyser for Excel
